Grant Cycle 2025 will open in December 2024.
On June 13, 2024 members and guests joined representatives from the 8 organizations receiving grants this year at the Grant Breakfast celebrating this year’s grantees and the dedicated work of the 2024 Grants Committee. The Rochester Women’s Giving Circle is proud to be celebrating 17 years of grant making focused on enabling women and girls living in poverty to transition to a lifetime of economic self-sufficiency. Grants are made to nonprofit organizations in Monroe County that help women and girls living in poverty to gain the education, training, skills and jobs necessary to achieve economic independence.
In its 17 years of making grants, the Rochester Women’s Giving Circle has distributed more than $2.5 million to nonprofit organizations in our community whose work is aligned with the RWGC’s mission.
The 2024 Grantees are: Agape Haven of Abundance: Urban and Youth Empowerment Program, Center for Teen Empowerment: Young Women’s Leadership and Employment Project, Friends of the Garden Aerial: Green Visions: Growing Healthy Futures, Judicial Process Commission: Women’s Legal Action Project and Employability Project, Spiritus Christi Prison Outreach: Women’s Empowerment Program, YWCA – Rochester and Monroe County: Equity Through Development Project
